I fancy having a scary book to read on these dark nights. I’m a total beginner to this genre so please recommend me anything because I definitely wouldn’t have read it!

Anything by Phil Rickman - v scary and v well written

The Watchers
The Lost Village by Neil Spring. He’s got a new one out called The Burning House which I’m just about to order.
Thanks to Duchess for mentioning Jonathan Aycliffe, I’d forgotten him. I love John Connolly’s Charlie Parker series too.
