Not a Juke but a 17 plate Qashqai, after my experience with this car and the so called aftercare from Nissan, I would never have another

My mum had one when they first came out. She loved it, and misses it. However, the boot was very small, she found the space in her previous Yaris much more useable. Not a big deal to her, but I would consider carefully if you're still at the pram stage. We considered buying it off her and that's why we didn't.

Satonsofasad · 24/10/2018 14:32

I have one. Boot isn't hugh but I have gone for a Peugeot 108 so it feels hugh to me!

Jukes are stylish and it's a very nice drive

My husband does.
Very small boot struggles to hold a large shop or my daughters pushchair.
Along with an extremely awkward parcel shelf which we have still not mastered.
Basic inside.
Saying that he really likes it, very good on fuel and really nippy.

Wallabyone · 24/10/2018 14:45

Its a lot smaller than it appears! Nice to drive, reasonable to run, but we had to take the wheel off our pram to
Close the boot, and pile the food shopping on the passenger seat. We part exchanged for a Honda CRV when we had a second child.

I used one as a hire car and although it drove nicely and I thought was good to look at, it seemed very small and badly thought out inside. The boot was too small for the car. I normally drive a Skoda Roomster and that is the polar opposite, not great to look at but you could probably pack a small sized house in it.

Xiaoxiong · 24/10/2018 15:02

Another one agreeing with the rest of the thread. We drove one as a hire car this summer for 3 weeks - fun to drive, nice high driving position, excellent fuel economy, but tiny inside relative to how chunky it looks outside. It made our Vauxhall Astra feel like a stretch limo when we got home again!

eggsandwich · 24/10/2018 15:58

I’ve had one, like op said boot is small and if like me you have tall teenagers then its not that comfortable for them in the back as not much leg room, but other than that its a nice to drive.

ThereIsNoSuchThingAsRoadTax · 24/10/2018 16:35

I've driven one as a hire car and hated it. Its like a reverse TARDIS: big on the outside, tiny on the inside. The sat-nav/entertainment system/computer is horrible, too. Nasty interface, but this is common across Nissans (have had Qashqai and X-Trail as hires, which I also hated - and a micra which was like driving a tin can - I think the hire company hate me).

HildaZelda · 24/10/2018 16:47

Sorry but I think they're one of the ugliest looking cars ever.

Catfacecats · 24/10/2018 16:55

I have one and love it!
Good fuel economy and nice and nippy.
Yes it doesn’t have the biggest boot, but it’s not an estate so you’ll obviously not have a massive boot.
Fits my 6 & 7 year old in the HBBs in the back, they have plenty of room.
Got mine 2nd hand almost 5 years ago, no major issues except having to replace the exhaust due to some over-enthusiastic speed bumps!

Wendalicious · 24/10/2018 17:25

Thank you all, very helpful- test drove one today and just after opinions! I’m quite chunky and felt a bit squished in and think the kids (primary aged) may feel the same in time, appreciate the time taken to reply x

Horsemad · 24/10/2018 18:09

Love them, am considering getting one but will hire for a weekend first to try it out I think.

SerenDippitty · 24/10/2018 18:43

I considered one when in the market for a car but decided I idn’t Much like the look of it.
