I'm alone, bored and even MN cannot provide infinite entertainment.

Looking for inspiration.

Quizzes mostly. I can now name every capital city in the world.

topcat2014 · 24/10/2018 06:40

angie169 - I get where you are coming from with the tests - I recently passed the HGV theory test :)

Might try CSCS card!

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 24/10/2018 06:41

Sorry, I MN.

IdaBWells · 24/10/2018 06:48

I am a bit of a newshound, I like to read:
Medium (general essays about everything)
The New York Times
The Washington Post
Politico
The Times
The Spectator
The L.A. Times
Der Spiegel International (English version of German newspaper)

MN.
Online shopping (DS has far too many clothes).
Hypothetical property searches on Rightmove.
Trying to find out what happened to random people I went to school with and haven't seen for 20 years
Looking at Maine Coon cats and reading about them. I've always dreamed of having one but I can't bring myself to pay for a pedigree animal and one has never come up for rescue at the right time for us don't tell my poor little moggy that I do this.

singmysongtoo · 24/10/2018 06:59

Tripadvisor, if you'd like info on a whirlwind tour of remote Philippine islands I'm your expert

Rockbird · 24/10/2018 07:41

YouTube. I'm addicted to travel vloggers despite the fact that I'm not a good traveller in any sense and generally much happier in my own home. There are two in particular that I like and I follow them all over!

Sunflowersforever · 24/10/2018 08:47

Right now, I'm flicking through Farside cartoons on google images.

So funny

DontCallMeBaby · 24/10/2018 12:21

Currently, true crime podcasts while doing colour by numbers app.

JustMarriedAndLovingIt · 24/10/2018 12:30

YouTube videos of lottery winners (hoping the luck will somehow rub off) or YouTube videos of real life American court cases.

Babybearsporij · 24/10/2018 13:16

Listverse is a great website.

Otherwise - other forums, the OU site, rightmove, instagram (on my phone), youtube, rightmove / zoopla.

April2020mom · 24/10/2018 16:40

I write. In my spare time I read magazines and books I find. I also love making things. I’ve just finished a few pumpkin and bat decorations for the upcoming Halloween party. Calligraphy is something that interests me personally too.

sheldonstwin · 24/10/2018 17:58

Looking at clothes then buying them when I cant afford them, ditto makeup and face creams. Looking on YouTube at people having their spots squeezed out, ebay buying crap I don't really want with more money that I haven't got. Spider solitaire.

FayKnights · 24/10/2018 18:01

@Tadda - I loved Box of Delights! Very Christmassy.
Thank you for the tip, I’ll be looking it up in YouTube.

BillyWilliamTheThird · 24/10/2018 18:08

Oh and doing the degrees of separation thing on Facebook - finding people who I know who know each other independently of me. Bit stalky.

OrigamiZoo · 24/10/2018 18:35

Ebay for clothes, I'm always buying and selling
Pinterest for crafting ideas, just made a lampshade out of cupcake cases!
I also love looking at buttons, as they can completely change an item of clothing.

Thirtyrock39 · 24/10/2018 19:06

Dulux paint Visualiser app
How old am I website - put in your photo and it calculates your age- either flattering or depressing!!

Cambalamb · 24/10/2018 19:51

This!

RomanyRoots · 24/10/2018 20:28

My hobby is genealogy and social history, so I'm happy researching.

I listen to music, learn languages, read, shop, download resources for dd, visit a few forums, make notes/ family planning (not contraceptive)
I have fb but hardly use it.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 24/10/2018 20:31

I love looking at things I can't afford or fit into. .... the designer clothing on Harrods.com like dresses etc are lovely pages to browse!! And the handbags.

I read papers; play games; dig out recipes; and spend far too much time and money on Amazon finding Kindle books etc.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 24/10/2018 21:40

I just failed the HGV theory test. Gutted Blush

Off to redeem myself on sporcle.

raisinsraisins · 24/10/2018 22:13

Google maps and streetview - look at places I’ve lived and visited and how they’ve changed.

John Lewis website for furniture for my dream home
Exchange and mart & autotrader to check out what my next car might be (not for ages though)
Companies house search - the company I work for and the job I do entails me to check this out a lot, I'm quite a good online stalker of people, plus linkedIn.
