Does anyone recognise this waterfall near Fort William?

We're visiting Fort William soon and I'd love to go to this waterfall as it's by the road (I'm disabled). They're usually inaccessible to me.

If anyone recognises it and knows the name or how to find it I'd be very grateful! Smile

Yup. It's the meeting of the three waters, right on the A82 as you drive down into Glencoe from Rannoch moor. It's a really busy main road, but they've got these splendid bollards now, so you're safe to stand there and take pics. The best car park is about 100 yards before you get there, driving off the moor and down the glen (sorry that's really annoying...) but you can always drive down the glen a bit, turn around in the next car park, and then decide where it's best to drop you off so you can get to it easily!

It's only a few miles back up the glen to the Glencoe Ski Resort. They have a (slightly rickety) chair lift. If you're mobile enough to get onto that, there are the MOST INCREDIBLE views from the top. (but I don't think there's a cafe at the top or anything, just at the bottom)

DH says it’s on the main road from Glencoe to Fort William and you can’t miss it. Sorry he doesn’t know the name of it but that might help you narrow it down

Thank you all so much! And the chairlift sounds amazing too (although I'm a bit of a wuss Grin). We're just visiting for the day, by train on the West Highland Line which has been on my wish list for years...we're staying at Forest Holidays in Ardgartan. I'm really excited! I live in the West Midlands of England by the way, but have loved Scotland since visiting relatives there as a small child Smile the landscape is so beautiful.

If you're visiting by train, you'll not get yourself out to Rannoch Moor/ meeting of the three waters. It's a good 15 miles from Fort William. (well, you can jump on the citylink bus towards Glasgow - they'd drop you off either at the Ski resort or at the 3 waters. There's a cafe at the Ski resort).

The other place I'd highly recommend if mobility is a challenge is the Aonach Mor gondola. I bet there's a bus there, or a taxi in extremis. You go in a cable car (much nicer than the chairlift) 2000 feet up one of the big mountains, and there's a cafe at the top and everything.

If you’re in that area I’d also recommend Glencoe lochan it’s beautiful www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g656902-d3314173-Reviews-Glencoe_Lochan-Glencoe_Village_Glencoe_Scottish_Highlands_Scotland.html

Aw I'd imagined getting a taxi from Fort William but I think that might be a bit too far then Sad

Please keep any suggestions coming! We're in Fort William for five hours or so, before the return train. I have a scooter that I'll be taking. I am most interested in seeing wildlife (determined to see red squirrels!) and gorgeous scenery, but am happy to sit in cosy pubs too Smile

There is a waterfall much closer to town, the lower falls up Glen Nevis. The local bus goes up the Glen or a taxi would be reasonable as it's only a couple miles out of town. The bridge goes over the falls and the drive up the Glen itself is lovely and a good way to see the scenery without venturing far.

Ooh that gondola looks perfect!
