How scary is The Haunting of Hill House?

Is it 'hide behind your hands' scary, or 'don't want to be in the house alone' scary?

I'm terrified of watching horrors, but it seems to be everywhere!?

No spoilers please, and I'm mostly scared of demons and ghosts.

Gulp

It's unsettling and very sad at times.

I've watched it in the day with the curtains open. It hasn't given me nightmares or made me scared to nip to the loo at night, but some images have really played on my mind. The ending of ep 1 I have found very difficult to get out of my head.

It's wonderful but I don't have the emotional energy to binge. I'm on ep 6 after few days.

I wasn't at all keen on the second episode, actually. Partly I just find Shirley to be a PITA, but the kittens didn't help.

I might rewatch it as thread supposedmtl be loads of hidden ghosts in it.. something like 100! I spotted a few as It went along but nowhere near that.

I gave up after ten minutes.

Depends how much horror you watch I think.

I was really excited and then was gutted at how tame it was, but I watch a lot of horror films.

And if you're a fan of the Shirley Jackson book it bears no comparison.

I really enjoyed the hidden ghost spotting! I found it very unsettling. Scary at times. Brilliant story though.

@Tryingtoswallow101 I absolutely sobbed my heart out!

I watched this hike alone in the dark and I was fine.

Dontfeellikeaskeleton · 23/10/2018 21:26

So it's more jumpy than gory then

I'll stick to Mr bean

I thought it was shite. I love the book and can't understand why they nick the title when it's a different story. I got bored of the ludicrously good looking bland actors and their dull characters. The ghosts were silly. It wasn't scary. BahHalloween Angry
