Can someone help me find a new dream house please? (Rightmove Thread)

I know that there are people on MN who love a look at this gorgeous house on Rightmove threads, I'm one of them.

On the last such thread, I fell in love with a house, and decided that should I ever win the lottery I would buy it.

I went searching for it the other day and it was gone

I need a new dream house !

No location criteria, no maximum price but I do want it to be a lovely old fashioned sort of house, big, with a nice view.

No modern types with loads of glass or those ones that have weirdly all wood interiors

Anyone got any suggestions?

To be honest @AngeloMysterioso if I was fucking loaded (I wish) buying something like Longbourne would make my life! Me and my DM and best friend would have a whale of a time prancing about quoting the definitive 90s BBC Pride and Prejudice at each other - what more could you want really 😄

Yes, but Longbourne has a 'most inconvenient room for sitting after dinner, The windows are full west' JA nut here

Oh lordy luckington court is just amazing. Euromillions tomorrow then?!!

This is more my style....www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-56552436.html

Needs a bit of bringing up to date, but Windermere edge with access. Heaven.

DollyWilde · 22/10/2018 21:26

I have very modest desires - this would be lovely: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-56679831.html

I’d like this little place looking out onto Poole Harbour www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-76280693.html

Nothing too excessive, just a spare room or (thirty) two Wink

PawneeParksDept · 22/10/2018 21:36

@MissMarplesKnitting

That Ulverston one is strikingly similar to the dream that was stolen away !

Complete redecoration obviously 😄

Amazing that you can buy a massive fuck off castle in Scotland for 4mill and that doesn't even come close to buying you a flat in Marylebone

Madness

Oooh! Property porn! I love it!!

Annoyingly though, no matter how much they are there is still something wrong with them. Beams/fugly great brick fireplaces/too much decking/only a roof terrace/too far away from civilisation/terraced/no garage/only one bathroom/etc etc.

DinosApple · 26/10/2018 19:25

This one's under offer now, but I love a timber framed medieval building.

Not for you no doubt, but I love those stables. Shock

PawneeParksDept · 26/10/2018 20:36

I love that one @DinosApple and I like the Oast house by @Petalflowers

Nineteen mill for a glorified flat in Kensington though, I mean it's sort of mind melting !

OP posts:
Deathraystare · 27/10/2018 09:28

I like the lake/pond/whatever Dino's apple but hate the beams. Now if those could be removed and the whole thing moved to West London for me, that would be great!
