What do you do when you're waiting for something?

Ok, so I've applied for a house (renting) and I've now got to wait for them to process the application and ARGHHHHH I hate waiting!!

There is a little bit of backstory in that me and DD left DV and moved to a flat, it was pretty crap, my depression and motivation to decorate was 0 and it was awful. I've since had my son, and we're hopefully moving to an actual house! With a garden!! I've filled out the application form and now I've just got to wait!

I don't wait very well and it's driving me crazy twiddling my thumbs. What does everyone do to pass the time when they're nervously waiting for something? Any ideas to make it pass a bit quicker?

I’m knitting right now, it’s very therapeutic. You could knit a tea cosy for your new house!! Grin

Look at more houses in the mean time, so you have a backup in case this application won't be approved.

I've said for years that I'd love to know how to knit. I am going to learn how! How is the best way to learn?

I've found another I like the look of but this first one is just perfect. The right size, area. Even got the wallpaper I like Grin

It's half term atm, so I'll do something with them tomorrow to take my mind off it. No ideas of what though!

I learned by watching you tube tutorials. It’s great because you can pause and rewind as many times as you need and there are so many videos. Every technique and problem you could imagine is covered on YouTube.

I read.

Good luck!

Knitting / crochet helps me. You could crochet some granny squares and make them into a blanket for your new house. YouTube will be your friend x

Ok so tomorrow I'll look into knitting or crochet. We have a charity shop i could probably get supplies from! I've always wanted to be able to knit a blanket.

I love to read, perhaps I'll look for a good book ready for tomorrow when DS has his nap.

I really hope I hear back tomorrow and it's good news!
