if you dropped a raw chicken breast on the floor, would you?

  1. wash it, cook it, eat it

  2. throw it away

??

On the kitchen floor? Rinse it, cook it and eat it. And clean the floor

DramaAlpaca · 22/10/2018 18:54

Neither. The dog would have it before I could pick it up Grin

Pick it up & cook it (probably wouldn't wash it, but I have a cast iron stomach Blush).

Was it and cook it well.

Rinse and cook. Or wipe the fluff off and cook.

Either way, not tell DH who is massively weird about these things.

Herja · 22/10/2018 18:56

I'd just cook it if the floor was clean probably give it a rinse if it had any dirt on it . The heat will kill any bacteria. No chance I'd chuck it.

Quartz2208 · 22/10/2018 18:56

rinse and cook

and thoroughly clean the floor

Zigazagazoo · 22/10/2018 18:58

Rinse and cook. Unless your kitchen floor is filthy.

carrie74 · 22/10/2018 18:58

Yup, rinse and cook, no problem. I often drop food on the floor before cooking (tends to be veggies that shoot off in various directions when prepping them).

Candelabra75 · 22/10/2018 19:13

If there's bits on it then rinse off, if not then the cooking will kill any germs. It's the floor I'd be worried about personally - anti bacterial spray and a good wipe

Caprisunorange · 22/10/2018 19:15

You shouldn’t rinse it, just wipe it with kitchen roll and shove in oven- the what will kill everything, but you could be sloshing salmonella round your kitchen if you start rinsing
