CBeebies land at Alton Towers

I'm thinking about going for the day.

The DC's are 1 and 4.
Is there enough to keep us busy for the whole day?
It's so expensive I want to get the most out of it.

Thanks in advance.

There’s definitely plenty to do with shows and characters to meet as well as rides
1 year old will be too small for a couple of rides - go jetters and octonauts and 4 year old probably won’t be able to ride alone so ideally need another adult
There’s also a mini sea life centre in another area of Alton towers plus cloud cuckoo land has a carousel with carriages for you all to ride together plus a frog hopper and driving school for 4 year old
We’ve been 3 times with my now 4 year old and she’s still asking to go again and loves it there

Amazing info thanks. Just what I want to hear. It will be 4 of us so we can take it in turn going on the rides with the big one.

We went recently. Spend most of the day there and DH took DS on some bigger rides whilst DD had a nap. Mine were 5&2.

No upper age limit on any of the rides. It’s worth making your way around the whole park for the 4yo to go on runaway mine train, rapids and pirate ship, and the adults to have a go on the big rollercoasters using single rider queues/tot swap. More than a full day if you do that!

Thanks all. Flowers

Honestly, I didn't like it. Not many rides and massive queues (although if you can go mid week in term time that should be better).
For my money Thomas Land is better and Legoland much better. Problem with CBeebies is you are paying for access to Alton Towers but can't use that much of it.

Won't be going again.

We've been a couple of times on a term time toddler deal so was cheaper. We enjoyed the aquarium in the pirate land bit and ds age 3 was too small for octonauts and go jetters but apart from that he loved it.

When mine were that age we found Gullivers land/world/kingdom depending where abouts you live much better value for money.

It's really busy in school holidays and at weekends, the all age rides had huge queues. Download a buy one get one free voucher - widely available, mine expired last month just checked or you could have them. My daughters also got really angry because they couldn't go on the big rides (aged 5&7). The worst the weather the better it has been we have found, fair weather theme park goers.

We did Disneyland (California) at 1&3 and it was magical though, term time, really quiet and Cinderella sat reading stories for over an hour with mesmerised toddlers (noticeably there weren't many dads, I think they, including my dh had slipped off to ride adult rides!)

BloodyBing · 20/10/2018 22:58

Thanks. I'm going to look in to finding vouchers but I'll also look at Gullivers as well.
