DD has come down with a stomach bug, will she be okay sleeping in her own room tonight?

Just wondering what others do in this scenario?

DD has been throwing up throughout the day today. I plan on keeping her in the living room with me until whenever I go to bed. At that point, should I be bringing her into my bed or put her in hers as normal.

She's 5 and luckily she's only had mild bouts of sickness in the past where she's been sick once and then been fine so I'm really unsure if it's safe to put them to bed alone?

Thanks for your help.

We used our really fantastic inflatable single bed that goes up in 4 minutes when the DC were ill so one of us always could sleep in with them. Inflatable beds have really moved on in recent times; no foot pumps required, you just inflate them with a hoover in minutes and they offer good back support. Very useful piece of household equipment! We even inflated it one night in the bathroom when I was sick during pregnancy!

It's good to have a sick bucket, Dettol, disposable gloves, puppy pads, old towels and spare bedding available just in case too. A nice calming children's book is good too when you are trying to calm a distressed child. One that is 'special' and kept back for emergencies!

I hope your DD feels better soon op!

I would have her in with me in my bed. Im always worried otherwise. Hope she recovers quickly. You wont necessary catch it.
