I need to print out an allergy alert card to take on holiday for restaurants but have no idea where to start with Arabic, it is too important to leave to google translate :-)

My daughter can help if you’d like to let me know what you need.
She will write it in Arabic and also type it phonetically for you to say aloud. It is Modern Standard Arabic.

Fantastic.
It needs to say
“ I have a severe allergy to peanuts that may result in my death if ingested.
Please ensure there are no peanuts or peanut oil in my food. Thank you”

Thank you so much!!!!

What country is it btw? Peanuts are pretty widely used in some Arabic countries.

Morocco

Morocco is a funny country when it comes to languages. They have their own Berber plus lots will understand French and then they have their own sort of Moroccan Arabic dialect. I guess it depends where you are going. It’s unlikely they will understand allergies and give it as much consideration as we do in the UK to be honest.

I would be hugely careful with food in Morocco if your allergy is that bad. They don't have the same consideration for it as we do; and a lot of food there uses peanut oil.

A friend with a strong intolerance took allergy cards but found that either restaurants wouldn't serve her or that they agreed and pointed out options without peanuts but that still upset her symptoms. She started sorting her own food after a few days and it seems a lot of people have similar stories.

Take a few epipens and be really, really careful!

I don't know anything about Morocco however, I printed out lots of pictures of peanuts and bottles of oil, put big red cross over it, laminated them onto a piece of A4 and showed it in restaurants when we were in India. We also had allergy cards in a couple of the main languages and obviously ignored street food and stuck to the more high end restaurants. You need to try and get across that you will die if you take peanuts and it's not just a dislike of the food or an intolerance. I know you have this in your post and it is important.

@StrumpersPlunkett

My daughter also suggests taking it in French too.

Thanks Gypsy.
Printed and laminated French one side Arabic on the other.

I am very grateful

I’m going to try to post screenshot of the translation.
Last night when I posted it MN formatting put a rogue full stop in the translation. Daughter says it doesn’t alter the text but for complete accuracy I’d like you to have the original translation.
