I'm always rolling her onto her back or side in the night. The next minute she'll be on her front again with her bum in the air. She's a good sleeper and doesn't usually wake up. But I don't know if I should just leave her in this position now. Any advice?

That's completely fine! It's only when they can't roll over themselves that you should put them to sleep on their fronts.

I so miss the bum in the air sleep pose. It's the most adorable thing.

I’d leave her. I believe front sleeping is fine once they’re strong enough to get themselves in the position

Personally I wouldn't worry, my ds would never fall asleep on his back or side. So he was always on his front from about 4m or so.
And my dd is just the same, shes been rolling over since 4m so once we put her down on her back she rolls over to her front. She's 10m now

GreedyBastard · 19/10/2018 19:01

as soon as they can roll both ways its safe leave her to it.

AdorableMisfit · 19/10/2018 19:03

Let her sleep. My DD was the same and now my DS does it too!

davisday · 19/10/2018 19:05

Totally fine.

Magpie1976 · 19/10/2018 20:57

Thanks everyone

I’d let her. She can roll both ways. It’s only non rolling babies who shouldn’t be allowed to sleep on their front.

Airuth · 19/10/2018 21:00

Is she rolls herself onto her front then leave her :-)

Almondio · 19/10/2018 21:03

Mine both used to sleep head down, bum up, corner of the cot and they were/are both fine (teens now, mostly sleep for days curled up in duvets with feet sticking out!)

charleypops · 19/10/2018 21:04

Fine, don't worry, they do this in neonatal units for some babies, it's more secure. They did it with mine who was very poorly and he was never able to roll at all. Did it with both boys. And they didn't get flat heads either.

My LO has slept like this from a few months old as soon as she could roll.onto her tummy.
She still sleeps like it now at nearly 2yo.
