I've forgotten how smelly they are!!!

Like really damp, ripe, dog smell. They look clean too, clearly they had showers this morning. Their hair looks nice.

No. I'm not pregnant - they really stink!

No lynx spray? I'm surprised Laurie the ones I know cover up any hint of a smell with lynx body spray 🤮

RagingWhoreBag · 19/10/2018 16:14

I had a house full of them last weekend. Had to open the windows bless them! It’s mother nature’s way of making us send them out into the big wide world to fend for themselves instead of staying tied to the apron strings. They get to smell so bad, we’re glad when they leave home Grin

OutPinked · 19/10/2018 16:47

My dbro smelt exactly like that pre-puberty, his bedroom always smelt like wet dogs and fresh sweat combined- grim. As soon as he reached puberty, out came the lynx. He would spray an entire tin on himself some days Grin. I find many teenage boys absolutely reek of strong aftershave/body spray, same with teenage girls actually.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 19/10/2018 16:59

DS1 is lovely, polite, always clean and a decent enough 13 year old. By the end of each day at school he smells not far off the dog when she's rolled in a fox shart on the field.

It's like there's something a bit rotten about them, even when clean.

feltcarrot · 19/10/2018 17:01

Oh god, my DS is on a train right now😮😮😮

AlpacaPicnic · 19/10/2018 17:09

Ah, Lynx spray... Or as it's known in our house shower-in-a-can...

I was on a tour of the new building I was working in and we were taken into the I T department... Dear god, you could practically see the Lynx in the air...

this has made me surprisingly sad. i have a gorgeous, soft, fluffy, squishy just 9 year old and sniffing him is one of my greatest pleasures

how long have i got left? possibly only a year or so Sad

AlexanderHamilton · 19/10/2018 17:19

Dis went through a very smelly age around 12. What he found helped was proper anti persperant & using deodorant wipes throughout the day he’s now 14 & never smells.

AlexanderHamilton · 19/10/2018 17:19

Also teaching him how to wash under his arms properly.

Almondio · 19/10/2018 17:23

I brought three of the blighters back from an overnight camp/hike recently, the windows were open despite it being freezing and I swear my car was visibly shrouded by a cloud of hazardous mustard gas.

Love my teens but omg they can pong!

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 19/10/2018 17:24

I have stinky teenage boys. Apparently telling them they smell is rude. I figure better coming from me than from the general public. Although I'd sympathise with the public too. And their teachers, especially their teachers. Poor teachers. 😢

CaraFara · 19/10/2018 17:29

My ten year old ds bedroom stunk I'd wet dog last weekend. I thought it was something in the room. What causes it?!?! It's a definite wet dog whiff.

CaraFara · 19/10/2018 17:35

I meant of not I'd.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 19/10/2018 17:35

I've got a teenager boy AND an actual dog who is often wet.

Used to love the smell of my house.

Actually, it's 5.30 so I can light the candles now.

Roamingseams · 19/10/2018 18:09

Grin @feltcarrot

Juanbablo · 19/10/2018 18:31

Ds1 is about to turn 11 and doesn't smell yet but the other day there was a faint whiff of hamster cage in his room. We don't have a hamster. I know it's a sign of things to come. I remember my brother's room stank.

Reythelastjedi · 19/10/2018 18:33

I must be on the same train. It's stinky.

Finfintytint · 19/10/2018 18:34

I persuaded my son to immac his armpits every now and then just to give us respite.

BiddyPop · 19/10/2018 18:37

Teen girls can as well...I can testify to that!

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 · 19/10/2018 18:38

I have two teenage boys who shower, brush their teeth and change their clothes every day, they also throw their bedding in the wash weekly, no smelly teens here.

AlbertWinestein · 19/10/2018 18:38

I have no idea how teenage boys can smell bad when they take so many showers...

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 · 19/10/2018 18:40

I also have a teen daughter who has followed in their washing footsteps!
I work in a secondary school as a TA and have only come across one teen with a bit of an odour problem.

northlaine · 19/10/2018 18:42

I feel your pain! I was once "trapped" on a train next to someone with extremely bad breath. I'm sure mine is sometimes fragrant but this was quite extraordinary! ;) It really was nausea inducing - a bit like "a squash and a squeeze" - really appreciated the "fresh" London air when I got off:)

Elllicam · 19/10/2018 18:44

Grin at the hamster cage smell sans hamster. I have 3 boys who will all be teenagers together. Not looking forward to the smell.

Furiosa · 19/10/2018 18:49

What? If they're clean why do they smell bad?
