Door lock for person with claustrophobia?

I need a lock for my bathroom door but I am scared that it will break and lock me in. It's a windowless room which makes the fear worse. Is there a kind of lock that can't malfunction? I like those large latch type locks that are usually on disabled toilets but can't find them online as I'm unsure of their name. I tried using a wedge under the door but it didn't work as there isn't enough gap under it.

Any ideas?

Ohhhhhhhhh! Yep I definitely sound stupid Blush in my mind the peg was on the door. Sometimes I wonder about myself Wink

Go to a Wickes, B&Q etc or look online. And I'd suggest getting help for your anxiety, go to your GP or find a counsellor Flowers

Ah OP I totally sympathise. I am like this with the bathroom door after an incident when I was younger. I don't use certain toilets even and don't lock my door at home or even fully close it. Saying that out loud makes me sound utterly mad buy claustrophobia is so annoying.
In my house I employ a doorstop in the bathroom for myself- I simply close the door but don't actually latch it, and place the doorstop against it from the inside. It's never not worked, if someone did push the door they'd obviously know the bathroom was in use and stop, especially in conjunction with lights on/shower sounds/knowing the deal with the doorstop. Plus they cant 'accidentally' get in as the door doesn't swing open.

100% certain that sounds insane to people who aren't claustrophobic but there you go! Might help!
