Next door's cat is bullying my DH

DH does not like cats. He has made this clear by poking his head out the back door whenever Toodles is within shouting distance and using words which the DC have gleefully repeated to Nana.

Toodles is now getting his own back by sitting in front of our drive every morning and point-blank refusing to move Grin

DH is due home at 3pm and Toodles has assumed position right in the middle of the drive Grin Grin Grin

If it helps your DH my 3 legged cat sits in the disabled spot and refuses to move.
That's so fucking funny.

OP, can we have a pic of Toodles, or would it self-destruct/would you have to kill us?

'DH shouting 'You chose HIM'' Grin

I actually end LOL’d at this Grin

We got a letter of complaint from our old neighbour stating that our cat was harassing her. I wish I had kept the letter to post on MN Grin

Our cats used to do something similar when I was a child. We lived in a house with no cat flap, so if we went out for the day, the cats were left outside. When we got home, we’d find the cats sitting in the middle of the drive, with their backs to us, sulking industriously.

They would refuse point blank to move until one of us got out of the car and carried them back to the house!

Cats are bastards. Ours hasn’t bullied any humans - yet (apart from dh and I - he bites us if we stroke him too much, not enough or in the wrong way) - but he picks on the dogs all the time. They are big dogs, and he weighs 11 lb, soaking wet, but they are afraid of him.

Score is now Toodles 3, DH 0, as the 'feline fucker' was sitting on the front door step this morning Grin

DH has successfully returned home with no sign of Toodles, who is undoubtedly planning global destruction.

My husband has a fear of cars and really doesn't like them. There is the biggest cat in the world living next door to us and every time DH goes out into the garden it seems to appear and sits on top of our she'd staring at him. He went out to cut the grass last week but came back in because the 'wanky bastard from next door' was making him uncomfortable. As soon as he came inside the cat disappear. DH goes back outside - cat appears again and assumes staring position. 😂

OddestSock · 19/10/2018 17:03

Cats are smart.

My parents had a cat who lost a leg. He was a food fiend & realised that if he sat in the bus shelter at the bottom of the road looking sorry for himself people would sit with him & give him fish from the fish & chip shop a few yards away.

HarrySnotter · 19/10/2018 17:03

cats he's really not afraid of cars ...

wanky bastard from next door oh my god i almost wet myself!

DramaAlpaca · 19/10/2018 23:39

Loving this thread, cats are fab Grin

Sorry about YearOf's cat being bullied & injured though, that's horrible. Poor thing.

JohnnyKarate · 20/10/2018 09:34

This reminds me of NDNs cat who used to love tormenting my dog. She would follow the dog around the house perching on the window sill staring in at him. I would often find my poor little dog sitting in the hallway where there is no windows, couldn’t work out why until I caught her in the act. In the end I had to keep the curtains shut so he could have some peace in his home. The bastard cat was the loveliest little thing though, I miss her. The dog does not Grin

ForalltheSaints · 20/10/2018 10:21

This is an excuse to show a photo of the 'Waitrose cat' who never forgets if you upset her. I am persona non grata for picking up her when she followed me into the store.
