Red eyes, blepharitis and falsies. I need to feel better.

How do I manage this?
I use a hot eye mask daily as recommended by the optician and Hycosan Night/Hycosan extra. I'm told I have another 30 weeks before my hospital eye clinic referral comes through.
I look and feel as if I've been crying constantly as my eyes are so sore and red.
I've stopped wearing eye make up but I really need a confidence boost as I'm going through tough times at the moment.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix my eyes please?

Do you mean that you got the blepharitis from false lashes? Ouch!

Not sure what to advise but hope it gets better soon.

No. I've had it for ages and dry eyes from the menopause.
I bought a set of eyelashes thinking they might be better than mascara.

I get blepharitis too. Worse in my right eye for some reason. I also have seborrhoeic eczema on my scalp and it seems to be linked. I usually wash my eyelids with baby shampoo but found using very very diluted ketoconazole shampoo on my eyelids and eyebrows seems to reduce and stop the blepharitis flare up. I am not a doctor though and this is just my experience.

There are also wipes you can buy from the optician called blephawipes which you can use to clean between your eyelashes and in the delicate areas of your eyes, and blephagel too but in my experience it's quite similar to hycosan anyway.

The hycosan your using, are they single use sterile droppers or a bottle for multiple use? You might be best with single use just to ensure everything is as clean as possible, and if you keep the drops in the fridge they're much more soothing.

If you are going to go back to wearing make up buy single use mascara wands and bin after each use. Although you'd really be doing yourself a favour by not bothering but I know how hard it is when you just don't look like you.

Hycosan is a drop for dry eyes which goes in the eye. This won’t treat Blepharitis. You need Blephawipes/Blephagel and thoroughly use this on the eye lashes twice a day

Interesting crafty. I had read that they were linked.
I've used Blephaclean wipes but they made my eyes sting and go very red so I stopped. I don't get crusts on my eyes but the optician said that's what I have.
I do use a multi dropper so I'll try the single use ones but I'm using it about 10 times a day so it's going to cost a fortune. Sad
