5 month old daughter

I have a 5 month old daughter and a few days after she was born she had some vaginal bleeding, midwife reassured me it was normal so I wasn't concerned. Last week she had a little bleed again (it was a tiny blood spot in her nappy) I phoned the GP and she was seen that morning, GP examined her and pointed out that her breasts were also swollen. The vaginal examination was normal and GP wasnt concerned but reassured me that she would refer my DD to the peadiatrics in the hospital, she has an appointment tomorrow..I didnt expect her to be seen so early so I'm really concerned. I've tried looking on the internet but I can't find any information. Anyone else experienced this?
For info - she hasnt bled since last week and it wasnt a lot. She is a very happy and bubbly baby and is taking her milk fine.

The newborn vaginal bleeding is quite common - my DD had it.

Regarding more recent occasion I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about. I find our local docs get anything young baby related checked out ASAP.

DD had the newborn vaginal bleeding and the swollen breasts. Was told they would go down eventually, haven't noticed in a while comet o think of it (she's 1 now), but were definitely like it for the first 6 months or so. Midwife said not to worry unless they became red and looked sore as that could be a sign of infection.

I'm sure the recent case was nothing to worry about if the examination was normal, but like the pp said, they tend to sort appointments for babies very quickly. Having said that, in case you haven't heard of it, could it have been urate crystals? They can be red, pink or orange and leave what looks like a little blood stain in the nappy. Really common at birth but DD has occasionally had them when unwell and not drinking enough.
