Anyone using Morrison's delivery?

I've had enough of Tesco home delivery. No issues with the actual delivery but prices seem to be increasing so much and also their website can be infuriatingly slow. I'm thinking of trying Morrisons who have just started delivering in our area. Anyone use them? Are they any good? Thanks

We use them , they're absolutely fine - mostly punctual, very few substitutions.

ArabellaUmbrella · 17/10/2018 15:23

Great thanks KeysHairbandNotepad that's good to know.

Yes,I've been using them for two years. Had one replacement item. Two late deliveries, for which I got a £10 voucher each time.

I've also been able to offset about £120 of match & more points against shopping in the two years.

Long dates on fresh stuff-way better than Tesco. Morrison's pick from a main hub rather than the stores or smaller infill depots.

If you do decide you like them, it's worthwhile investing in an annual delivery pass.

(BTW I don't work for Morrison's, I just had such abysmal products/service from Tesco that I'm a bit evangelical!)

ArabellaUmbrella · 17/10/2018 15:50

Weezol thank you, that is very helpful. I've certainly never had a late delivery voucher from Tesco! I'm going to try a shop and then look into the delivery pass if I'm happy.

Does anyone know if they offer reduced delivery passes? I used Sainsbury's for the odd delivery last year and after a few weeks they offered me an annual delivery pass for £40 (usually £60) It's coming to an end soon and so I'm wondering whether it's worth switching supermarket to see what they can offer me.

Nat6999 · 17/10/2018 16:18

I've always used either Morrison's or Ocado for deliveries. They are both really good, fruit & veg are always packaged really well to protect from bruising or damage. I've never had any replacements & they always turn up on time, even in bad weather. My road often gets blocked when there is snow & there is not parking directly outside the block of flats, last winter the delivery driver parked on the main road & carried all my shopping to my door through thick snow & ice.

Crunchymum · 17/10/2018 16:19

I used them for years (use Sainsburys now. Wanted a "change") without problem or issue.

Their delivery service is modelled on Ocado (very similar experience actually. Even the receipt looks the same!)

I'd have no trouble recommending them.

Butterymuffin · 17/10/2018 16:20

Yes, I use them and the service is good.

HighSchoolHelp · 17/10/2018 16:26

We use Morrison's as well and no issues whatsoever. Good comms, rarely any substitutes and good Use By dates. We have a delivery pass for £8 per month (I think) and appr 6 deliveries per month.

legocardsagain · 17/10/2018 16:27

I used Tesco for years and it was terrible. I'm mostly happy with Morrison's. Never late, often a bit early though, but happy to wait while I do the school run.

Had an issue with bananas being described as ripe but arriving green and needing 4-5 days to ripen. They always refunded them.

Tough to get a decent Christmas delivery date, but persistence has paid off. I'd defo recommend.

MyDcAreMarvel · 17/10/2018 16:29

Morrisons are great they use the same delivery company as Ocado .

ArabellaUmbrella · 17/10/2018 16:29

Thanks for the replies, all sounding positive!

My delivery pass is £30 a year Tue-Thur deliveries only.

Justgivemesomepeace · 17/10/2018 16:34

I've used them for about a month now. I've found them punctual and only 1 substitution so far. I was concerned about the dates on the fresh stuff and imagined they might send me stuff about to go out of date. It comes from the warehouse though, and the dates have been great. Better than in the store on some if it. Ive been impressed and have just signed up for the monthly delivery pass for £8 month.

Meckity1 · 17/10/2018 18:19

I have a delivery saver with Morrisons, Tesco and Asda. I dropped Sainsburys after too many creepy delivery drivers creeped me out.

IME Morrisons are slightly more expensive than Tesco for some things, but they are pretty good on others. Check out their wonky veg range. Drivers are usually nice enough, and usually early here (most deliveries depend on depot). They are also a nuisance because you have to have your order finalised before 6pm the day before, not nearly midnight like the other delivery services. You get cash back on returned carrier bags, 5p per returned bag.

Morrisons range is now getting bigger, and there are less gaps but it is harder to search for particular types of food like low fat or gluten free. The quality is pretty good.

I may need to get a hobby.

ArabellaUmbrella · 17/10/2018 20:17

Meckity1 very informative Actually that would be a disadvantage as I am used to updating my order in bed! I need to be more organised. Thanks for the info.

I think I am going to switch from Tesco too. Getting very expensive!

NagNagN4g · 17/10/2018 20:29

I’ve just switched to Morrison’s from Tesco after some pretty horrific experiences with them. They’re fab, no issues so far. Have always been on time and only had one substitution but they emailed me about it before it was delivered so I was expecting it. Very happy!

I’ve used Morrisons every week for the past 3-4 years and I’ve never had a problem - maybe one late delivery (they sent me a voucher) and a couple of burst packets (they refunded me really quickly it’s a simple online form) I cannot fault them

chrisrobin · 17/10/2018 20:43

I've recently started using Morrison's delivery, they've been prompt each time and everything is handed over in bags so it's very quick. I can change my groceries up to 1am on the morning of delivery, that may vary by store though. Carrier bags can be returned and the 5p credited to the account. The receipt is delivered in advance online, there isn't a paper copy, and I get a text telling me if there are any missing items or substitutions with the name of the driver and registration of the delivery van.

I'm very happy with it at the moment, far better organised than Sainsbury's were.

MyDcAreMarvel · 18/10/2018 00:16

Depends when you delivery is booked for mine come at 7pm can finalise until 11.40 pm night before.
