i suspect DD (may have) hf&m this is based solely on 2 blisters tgat have appeared on her foot.

nothing anywhere else

no sore throat or mouth ulcers

this has been for around for just the weekend... hasnt been doing excessive sport and trainers etc are a good fit.

how do i treat the blisters on the feet?

she's 13

There is no treatment, you just have to wait.

Thatstheendofmytether · 15/10/2018 07:55

You can't do anything just have to let it pass. If it was hf&m there would probably be more blisters by now, bit then it still could be.

Hfm generally presents with a fever which usually comes first. I'm currently cuddling on the sofa with feverish DD praying its not hfm!

Thanks @walkingted. It can take only 5 days to clear, you might be alright.

It can be really mild. Both of mine have had it and had no fever or anything. Just some blisters and a bit off colour.

Fishandthechips · 15/10/2018 10:20

When my son had it he had a fever and felt quite unwell for a day first. Then a couple of days later had absolutely loads of blisters around his mouth so fingers crossed your daughter doesnt have it if shes been well up until now. If she does you just have to wait it out, I think its around 5 days when it starts to clear up.

It could be pompholyx. HFM usually presents as great flocks of vesicles, upwards of 30 in number. Pompholyx is usually limited to two or three at at most. If the blisters are on the foot, they'll be 2-4mm across, circular and on the sole or sides. They may pop if pressed, and are under fairly high pressure. Some of mine can spray up to three feet. If on the hands, they'll be smaller, about 1mm, and clustered around the finger joints.

There's no treatment unfortunately, just pop them early before they lift too much skin. Keep them clean.
