Bedtime stories

I'm looking for a hardback book with a selection of bedtime stories.

Preferably one book with several stories in.

My LO is 16 months so ideally short stories. Any recommendations?

Sorry, I have always been very much a fan of the paperback books as they take up less space on the shelf and are not so heavy to carry.

However, if you're wanting recommendations of bedtime stories (which may be available in hardback) then:

Helen Stephens (Stevens?) Writes some lovely books. How to hide a lion is a delight to read, imo. There is also how to hide a lion from grandma and how to hide a lion at school, and possibly more. Also The night iceberg was enjoyed in our house. Possibly these may come in a hardback edition.

The Linley Dodd books about Slinky Malinkey at al are delightful with a rhyme, rythmn and often repetition running through.

The Kipper books by Mick Inkpen or Nick Butterworth (I get them muddled up) are also very sweet. We have several collections which are probably available in hardback.

And I would highly recommend The crocodile who didn't like water by Gemma Merino.

Have you thought of writing your own stories & pictures? (you might become a best seller in the fututre)

I've bought this one for various new babies (family and friends) and the parents seem to quite like it.
It's a mix of stories and nursery rhymes

OI! Frog books are fun. (especially if you do the voices yourself)

So sorry everyone, I didn't realise anyone replied - how ignorant!

Thanks so much for the suggestions.

We have lots of paperback single books, but I was more looking for one big hardback, containing lots of stories in one book. Similar to that suggested by @MsSquiz

Thanks again
