Can anyone help - flu jab?

Was wondering if anyone here has the answer. Have taken DD1 to get her flu immunisation as she is eligible for the free one on NHS as she's 3.

I also have DD2 (10 months). I can find information that states that only babies from 6m - 2y in high risk groups are eligible for a free flu jab, however, I can't find any info that says that I can pay for her to have it (as she's not high risk).

Can anyone shed any light? Even the practice nurse at my local GP who gave DD1 her immunisation didn't know Confused

I don’t know I’m afraid but you could try contacting your local travel clinic. They often do most private vaccinations

You will need to check with companies that offer the flu jab privately.
From a quick search it looks like Boots and Lloyd’s don’t offer the flu vaccination for children that young but Superdrug do.

Some pharmacies offer them but I suspect not to so young

I get mine done in ASDA pharmacy where I have to pay. Ask somewhere like that, they'll be able to tell you.

A different age group (teen -15) wasn't eligible for flu jab but tried to pay at different pharmacists including boots and asda but they wouldn't administer to under 16's.

I think if they're not eligible for an NHS vaccine, you'll struggle to get it done privately as under 16.
