DD's skin is very sensitive and flannel and soap hasn't done much at all

Nail varnish remover (maybe just the arm), and then into the shower.
A trip to the swimming pool.
Or just leave it for a couple of days!

Oh dear....could you try a magic eraser sponge? Once got permanent marker off my mantle piece.

LikeARockhopper · 10/10/2018 18:51

Baby lotion and cotton wool, then a soak in the bath.
Good luck!

redsummershoes · 10/10/2018 18:51

what colour?
is she a smurf? :o

CoperCabana · 10/10/2018 18:55

Please don’t use a Magic Eraser. Been there, done that, DD had the burns to show for it... Blush

Tinkhasflown · 10/10/2018 18:55

Coconut oil.

MoMandaS · 10/10/2018 18:56

Washing up liquid (preferably Ecover or similar) worked today on my two where soap had failed, along with gentle use of a soft nail brush ...

NotAnotherJaffaCake · 10/10/2018 18:56

Alcoholic hand sanitizer.

OtterPockets · 10/10/2018 18:58

I used a magic eraser on my neck for hair dye ones! DO NOT USE ONE OF THOSE. The bun was awful.

I second swimming.

Furiosa · 10/10/2018 19:01

Soap, water and time.

grasspigeons · 10/10/2018 19:03

Oil or alcohol if waterchasnt worked

CurlsLDN · 10/10/2018 19:03

100% not a magic eraser!! Go and read how those work and you'll see that you don't want it on skin.

Anything oily should do the trick without irritating further, I usually use a bit of baby oil on my son midway through a warm bath. Olive, coconut, anything like that will do

ShalomJackie · 10/10/2018 19:03

Baby wipes

NerrSnerr · 10/10/2018 19:04

How obvious is it? It'll fade in time.

CurlsLDN · 10/10/2018 19:05

About magic sponges:
"It works because when melamine resin cures into foam, its microstructure becomes almost as hard as glass — causing it to act like a SUPER-fine sandpaper"

I just give DS a good thorough wash, and whatever doesn't come off can stay on. It wears away over a few days, and I don't see the need for extreme stain removal tactics.

NerrSnerr · 10/10/2018 19:10

I agree with tawdry. I had to explain a few sharpie incidents at nursery and no one cared. It comes off in the end.

Gingerninj · 10/10/2018 21:55

It was a black pen so it was quite obvious, i used some baby location, wipes and a bath and it's faded a bit but for now she's got a temporary moustache

OP posts:
Blankiefan · 10/10/2018 22:43

Anything alcohol based should help. I used some hair spray last time (maybe not on face!). Didn't totally get rid but helped.

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 10/10/2018 22:46

oh a lovely moustache, I was wondering what she had done. Sweeeeeeeeeet!
Please tell me it's school photos weeK?? :o

PickAChew · 10/10/2018 22:47

Baby wipes are the best bet for sensitive skin. Have used them on a biro explosion fairly successfully.
