Things to do in London for an 11th birthday

We're going to be down in London for DD's birthday and I want to find something fun to do. I know London pretty well but the kids haven't spent that much time there (done most of the main museums). I don't mind forking out a bit of cash - within reason! I thought about theme parks but they take ages to get to without a car. Any suggestions?

Up at the O2, cutter & squidge Harry Potter afternoon tea, Go ape, go see a show

M&M world: ridiculous, but my 11 year olds would love it!
See Matilda or Wicked.

Ripley's is fun, but pricey unless you can get a deal (e.g. the train ticket one). Also Hamley's just up the road which is free to look around. Wander along the Southbank, visit the London eye - again there are deals. Or visit the sky garden - entry is free if you book a slot in advance (great views). Monument and Tower Bridge have a joint ticket deal.

My daughter loves the museum of childhood at Bethnal Green, especially when she points things out and I tell her that I had one as a child.

Walk along the south bank from Borough Market so you can grab some food and nip into the Tate Modern to see some of the galleries and finish with a trip on the London Eye.

Sadly ripleys has closed - the lego store and M&M world always popular with my kids but not a day out

Sorry to disappear ... thanks for the ideas. Not sure what we'll do yet but these are helpful.
