Close as part of a street name, Attenborough Close, for example. Do you say close as in 'close that book' or as in 'that was close'?

According to Oxford English Dictionary - the noun is pronounced with the 's' sound for 'a street closed at one end' but with the 'z' sound when describing the end of something e.g. 'Bring something to a close'.

Hmm. I've been getting it wrong it seems. I thought close as in close the book, because the road comes to a close.
