Thinking of joining weight watchers

I need to lose some weight

Have previously lost 2 stone with slimming world but fell into a rut and stopped going in June

Have put on 5lb since and I'm fed up

Feel like I need a fresh start and thinking of ww rather than sw

Foods that I like - porridge, most veg, salad, chicken, prawns, pasta, rice, jacket potatoes , mince based meals eg chilli

Don't like - roast meat, fish except prawns, steak, lamb, bacon, sweet potatoes

Any advice? Opinions on ww?

One more question!

How do you know how many grams a portion is?

I've worked it out! It's listed under weight underneath protein on the nutrition info

I'm sure it says down the bottom of that how many grams. Or you can change where it says servings to grams if you are adding it yourself

I have just joined WW and was about to post when I saw this!

How much exercise do you need to do?

Does it really work? I’m breastfeeding and my weight just wont budge, so I’m desperate for results Sad

hilbil21 · 11/10/2018 15:01

You don't "need" to do any exercise and it definitely works if you stick to it x

lifechangesforever · 11/10/2018 15:15

Definitely working for me - lost more in the last 2 weeks than I did in the whole of September.

ADayAlwaysHasToEnd · 11/10/2018 15:29

I'm pretty sure exercise is optional and you get fit points to eat if you do any 😊

Toomanytoremember · 11/10/2018 18:31

And do you cook.everything from scratch? I rely a.lot on ready meals, but I see you can scan bar codes.

Do you feel full on it?

Toomanytoremember · 13/10/2018 11:52

And how much on average do.people loose each week?

fraggle84 · 13/10/2018 12:20

If anyone wants to join pm me your email address and I can refer you. We both would get a month for free added onto our plans

I'm really enjoying it, have lost 4 lb since Tuesday morning 😊

Find it much easier to track than sw but I think It be tricky if you weren't happy to constantly use the app every time you eat to log things!

I've felt full and eaten some ready meals and canned soup

I get 27 points a day here's a typical day so far

B - crumpet (3 points each), scrambled eggs. Coffee ( 1 point for milk

L - jacket potato (7) with tuna & salad, salad cream (2)

D - chilli con carne (3) with cauliflower rice, cheese (6)

Snacks - French fries crisps (2), lotus biscoffee biscuit (1)

I'm loving this thread. I've been part of WW since 1992. It really works for me. I had a family bereavement about 6 months ago and have struggled to stay positive with life. I'm about 9lbs over my healthy weight, but I'm back on track today. This has inspired me. The barcode scanner is the best thing ever. I love shredded wheat for breakfast as it's the lowest sugar breakfast cereal. X

How's everyone getting on?

I lose 5 lb in my first week 😁😲
