I have finally after months of trying landed a job interview the other side of the country. Does anyone have any good advise for me as I am bricking it a bit?

The job is ecommerce sales and has kpi targets. I have never been in a role requiring kpis before does anyone else have a job like this and is it difficult?

Thanks

KpIs are key performance indicators very similar to objectives but more defined. So it might be make 10 widgets per hour for example or deliver x by y. Not difficult if they are realistic and achievable.

KpiS are just key performance indicators- things you will be measured on, like answering the telephone within x rings in customer service etc. Just make sure you know what they are.

I'm not in sales but have worked closely with sales teams. Sales KPIs have been things like;

Time spent on phone per day
Number of outgoing calls
Number of client meetings
Conversion rates
Renewal Rates
Monthly/quarterly revenue
Amount billed per month
Margin percentage

Although each industry may have specific KPIs, the above will give you a general idea for sales. Good luck!

Thank you! That sounds like something I need to research!

You could always ask to see them before the interview and say you would like to see how your experience matches what will be expected of you to see if your a good fit.

The problem with that is they are based the other side of the country. Im amidst a break up and feeling pretty rubbish so i applied far away from where I live. I have to basically learn everything online and get my train on thursday. Apparently the interview is 30 minutes long. Is that standard?

Find out as much as you can in advance.
If it's Amazon then there will be huge amounts of data & metrics, if it's joebloggs.com not so much.
Is it B2B or B2C. Look at their website - is it easy to buy currently - intuitive, no of clicks etc.
In terms of kpis - visitors to site vs purchases, abandoned shopping baskets etc, referral links. It will depend on the actual business & structure.
Good luck!

I will research everything. Its a sales room of luxury goods. I have to form clients and do loads off various things online.
