Advice on inaccurate reporting

Not sure how much I can write about this without completely identifying myself but I'll try.

I organised a large event at work. There was independent entertainment that I organised through my own personal contacts and managed to negotiate massively reduced fees. It was a massive hit and a huge success.

A volunteer group my company work with were involved - contributed a small amount of money and attended on the day. Operationally they contributed very little if nothing to the delivery.

This group has now published an article which has a circulation of a few hundred including all my senior managers where they say thanks to my company for helping but big thanks to Mr so and so (from their group) who organised the whole thing. No mention of me anywhere. Mr so and so never even spoke to any of the entertainers let alone organised anything.

I'm so forking angry I didn't get acknowledged and have been completely overlooked.

I don't have a great relationship with my manager but what if anything can I do to get this inaccurate info corrected?

Surely they can't just write whatever the hell they like?

Or do I just suck it up and put it down to experience?

That's outrageous. I wouldn't be able to let it lie!

I know Thistle. I feel like I've been shat on from a great height.
