DD's has this spot for a week... every day it's looking worse. Is this something to be concerned about. It looks sore and feels hard to touch. Thank you.

I’d pop along with her to a pharmacist to see what they make of it

LoongTimeComing · 07/10/2018 13:50

Good idea Blue, I would hate to waste the GP's time with what is essentially a spot!

Just looks like a zit to me but yes, check with pharmicist

Definitely get it checked by Pharmacist. Could be a bite of some sort?

CurlyhairedAssassin · 07/10/2018 15:21

Would help to give her age, OP! If she isn’t a teenager then o would get the pharmacist to look at it.

LoongTimeComing · 07/10/2018 15:56

Sorry... she's 2. She has had a few spots like this before. None have been as red/sore as this and have all just faded relatively quickly.

It looks infected with the redness around it. Every time my dd has had something that looks like this the gp has prescribed oral antibiotics so it may be worth trying the walk in centre or your gp tomorrow.

overagain · 07/10/2018 17:34

I'd stick a hot as she can stand cloth on it to draw it out a bit.

LemonysSnicket · 07/10/2018 19:42

It may be a splinter or something embedded, hot cloth morning and night and see if that helps

Ellieboolou27 · 07/10/2018 19:51

Take her GP, my 3 yo had something that looked very similar just recently, GP prescribed fudicic acid cream as it was infected. 2 is only a baby.

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 07/10/2018 20:47

I'd get it seen to, a 17 year old boy was in the paper just two days ago saying he got sepsis from an infected spot on his neck

buscaution · 07/10/2018 20:52

I'm obviously in the minority but to me it's just a spot. It wouldn't cross my mind to have that looked at.

However, I'm a random Mumsnetter so ignore me Grin

LoongTimeComing · 07/10/2018 22:18

I've done the hot cloth thing. I'll do that again in the morning & take it from there. Thanks all.

Put a bit of Sufo cream on it

LoongTimeComing · 08/10/2018 06:44

I'll give that a try. Thanks homemenu

That looks very sore. Mag sulph paste is usually good for drawing things out so I’d nip down to the chemists and ask if that would be suitable on a two year old
