Have the words changed or have I been singing it wrong all my life?

I’ve always sang ‘haven’t had an egg since Easter’

But Mr Tumble sings ‘since breakfast’

My mum sang 'I haven't had a bite since breakfast' to my DD, which sounded weird, but maybe she's trying to be responsible about not eating too many eggs. Or maybe the song's about the Dukan diet.

We sang I haven't had an egg since dinner time, which on reflection makes no sense at all.

But we're northern so I suppose dinner time is noon

My DG is 91 and as I child I always heard her sing Easter 🐣

The version I remember is

Which never made any sense to me, as since when as
3.30 been tea time

Always known it as Easter!
