I can't wrap

I can't wrap. I've tried again and again. I've shoved everything in as tight as I can and rolled the wrap over and shut but it always ends up a loose flappy mess. The folds on the ends open up and stuff starts dropping out and after a few bites it's more like I'm holding meat and salad in the centre of a big bread hankie. Does Lakeland have some kind of wrap roller/compressor? I feel like I'm failing the Twenty-Teens. Sad

i have looked online, but an automatic present wrapper comes to around £800 Confused would you consider using a gift wrapping service? this one comes to you. link

Goldenbug · 05/10/2018 20:04

I mean wraps the food. With tortillas/wraps.

Use as little paper as you possibly can. That’s what i read years ago. Trim as much off as you can and that makes it all a bit neater

Passmethecrisps · 05/10/2018 20:04

Oh! Hahaha!

PenApple · 05/10/2018 20:05

Grin at people thinking you take bites out of your presents.

Don’t pack it too full, fold bottom up, then one side over at a time.

strongandlong · 05/10/2018 20:08

How to wrap a wrap

sleepismysuperpower1 · 05/10/2018 20:10

haha Grin sorry, misunderstood!

Butterflycookie · 05/10/2018 20:10

Look at youtube videos! They show you how to wrap.

Goldenbug · 05/10/2018 20:11

From the link;

"Pile a small amount of filling (less than you think you need—overfilling a wrap is the kiss of death)..." Hmmm. But I'm so generous!

It is an art form. And always less filing than you think.

I fold up from the bottom then fold in the sides leaving the top open

HoleyCoMoley · 05/10/2018 20:21

I just put the filling at one end, roll it all the way up then cut it in half

Goldenbug · 05/10/2018 20:21

And use tortillas rather than paper?

OP posts:
Gohackyourself · 05/10/2018 21:06

Or still use gift bags GrinGrin
That would be a giant fajita Grin
Point of post went straight over my tired brain cells

Goldenbug · 05/10/2018 21:31

They do those boat shaped tortillas don't they? Maybe they could do them more like party bags? Long tubes with a sealed up bottom you just drop stuff into.

I ant wrap. Just do gift bags and boxes Christmas is great as some places offer free gift wrapping so always look out for that!

GreenTulips · 05/10/2018 21:38

You can use a flour paste to stick the edges down not that you should ever cheat

SleepWarrior · 05/10/2018 21:40

I love all the comments about gift-wrapping! Grin

From my OP: and after a few bites it's more like I'm holding meat and salad in the centre of a big bread hankie.

Does make you wonder what presents people thought I wanted to wrap! Grin
