Can anyone offer hair/shampoo advice?

I've used head and shoulders for a few years, due to itchy scalp, scalp build up etc. I've tried lots of other normal shampoos but all aggravate my scalp, it's more like mild cradle cap than dandruff. I've recently tried shampoo bars, thinking the more natural ingredients might help. They are actually not too bad on my scalp but my hair is atrocious, and never here is clean.

Can anyone recommend a shampoo that will be good for an easily aggravated scalp, but also leave my hair feeling nice? I have normal hair, can get away with washing 2 or 3 times a week. Shoulder length hair, quite fine hairs but lots of them making it quite thick.

Have you tried head and shoulders colour shampoo. I use it and it doesn't affect my colour at all

Yes I get on ok with head and shoulders but have been told repeated that it's bad for your hair, hence looking for an alternative.

Haven't tried this myself but loreal have recently released a pre-shampoo scalp oil for sensitive scalps which might be worth a try.

When I was training I was taught to refer to GP for bad Psoriasis or dandruff and recommend Head and Shoulders for mild dandruff or a shampoo for sensitive scalps like Wella Elements for mild eczema.

I trained in a Wella salon so I'm certain they wouldn't have told us to recommend Head and Shoulders if it was bad for your hair and there's nothing in it that would concern me. Head and Shoulders and Olaplex were literally the only things we were allowed to recommend that weren't Wella. They stopped us recommending Olaplex when they came out with Wellaplex.

Also the GP must surely be able to do something or why were we always told to refer to GP?
