This window is being dressed just now. First impressions are not good!

Ok I have just been on to Greydogs site, and I am even more confused.

It is a weird picture all together and makes me uncomfortable.
I'd love to know the artists explanation of the picture.

'Art' you say - art my arse! That will scare the children & the horses Grin

Greydog · 05/10/2018 18:08

Here you go - Along the city’s main post-war pedestrian thoroughfare, Nilbar Güreş presents a series of photographs made with local participants, playfully exploring the experience of being a displaced person in Plymouth (one of five “dispersal centres” for asylum seekers in the UK).

It gets better (?) iscp-nyc.org/resident/nilbar-gures

Oh my days...it would be Plymouth would'nt it! Its a shy pixie sat in Whistmans wood on Dartmoor with a bit of a thing about Wrapping paper.
Now we'll be know as Britains (very weird) ocean City.
Disclaimer - i know stuff all about art.

Is this one of the stores they are closing down? Store manager trying to go out with a bang? Grin

citiesofbismuth · 05/10/2018 18:43

That figure with the cover over them looks like a dead body.

GulliverUnravels · 05/10/2018 18:47

Why is she slumped over like that?! Shock She looks like she's just been hanged! Maybe it's a halloween window...? clutches at straws

BlackBeltInChildWrangling · 05/10/2018 19:01

Is it Mike Ashley under that hat?

Or working conditions in the Sports Direct warehouse?

EnidButton · 05/10/2018 23:03

At least that's that mystery solved. Thanks to Grey.

I was thinking it was the backdrop to a dystopian Christmas display in a department store window. I think it's supposed to be 'uncomfortable' given the artists brief description in that article.
