Will we get tax credits?

Have been working out approximate income when DP moves in at the end of the month.

I currently get child tax credit & working tax credit as a single parent but can’t find any definitive answer as to whether it will all stop or just the WTC when he moves in. Various sites and calculators say different things.

Our combined income will be around 35k and I have one DD aged 7 who I pay for childcare for.

Anyone in a similar situation that can tell me whether you do or don’t get the child tax credits still?

Thanks in advance.

I think the maximum income with one child is £26000 so I can't see that you would be entitled to anything.

What cluedo said is correct, you won’t get working or child tax credit as your household income will be over the threshold

Unless your DD gets DLA then definitely not

When I was in your combined income bracket with two children I didn't get any thing beyond standard child benefit, sorry.

The calculators are useful but I find they give a ballpark and always seem to overestimate ime.

I don't think you will, threshold for one child is as pp said, around 26k, two children is 32k and that's for CT.
I can't imagine any online entitlement suggesting you will get anything with that combined income.

That’s what I thought.
Thanks all!

You also need to ensure you aren't in a universal credit full service area as your partner moving in would trigger a transfer to uc
