I've found some very cheap flights to Budapest at the end of March, it looks amazing! It'll be my friend and me going for four days; which side is better to stay on? Looking for a budget Air bnb close to the centre-ish.

I posted on here a couple of months ago with a similar question about Vienna and got some brilliant advice. Vienna was awesome BTW! Grin

Buda is the old part of the city. Buda castle is gorgeous. Pest (pronounced pesht) is where szechenyi baths are. But you can easily get round the city on tram, bus.and underground. All the bridges, monuments and iconic buildings like the Houses of Parliament are lit up at night. It's a fabulous city.

I'd stay in Pest, it's easy to get to the other side. Just cross the bridge! We took a free walking tour on the first day (just tip at the end)

Thank you for all the advice Grin I can't wait to go!

I'm flying from an EU country but on a UK passport 26-30th March so should be ok? 😵

Buda is the hilly bit, Pest the flat bit. Budapest also contains Obuda, but not sure how that fits in. If you have time, Szentendre is also worth a visit.

I went at least ten years ago but the food was amazing and it was very beautiful!
