Disneyland Paris day trip?

I just can't afford to do more than a day trip

Is it somewhere you could feel you'd had a good time just for a day or would you just spend most of it queuing and feel like it wasn't worth only coming for a day?

I would just travel cheapest way and probably look for whatever the version of a travelodge might be and then perhaps have a day to sightsee...

Or has anyone done one of those couch tours day trips? I can't find one from London and really not sure a child could manage to sleep on coach

Did coach trip very recently - four days - two days travelling two days there. Got picked up at 3am and like you worried about kids not sleeping but kids slept well until 7/8am. It’s a long old slog on the coach though (takes about 16hrs!) depending on how often you stop in the services etc and if there’s ferry delays. We had two days in the park and loved it but feel like there’s too much to do there - we struggled to squeeze it all into two days so I don’t think one day would be enough!

went last year for 4 days, flew and stayed in the park at one of their hotels

no way would i do it for a day or even two

i would just put it of for a bit and save some more

4 days was enough and we didnt rush about, used hotels pool and had a sleep in the afternoon some days,it is alot of walking

we loved it but we didnt have to do much as we had a meal package

Who did you book through @Ioki?

I honestly don't think I'd ever manage 4 days...

Have you looked into German website offers (Disney) and annual pass we have one and stay off site, use tesco vouchers for travel. Staying off site is much cheaper. Disney is really fun but there are far cheaper other good theme parks on the continent.

Fragolino · 01/10/2018 21:34

I also think meal packages and all those extras are unnecessary.
We stay near supermarket, self cater loads even just baguettes and some chips inside... There are ways of doing it on the cheap

@Fragolino I'm confused by the annual passes - are they like a season ticket to the parks? Can you visit as many times as you want over the year that they are valid for?

Wasn't keen on Disney queues for hours for a 2 minute ride. Not my idea of fun.

Fragolino · 02/10/2018 11:16

Yes that's right. They have black out days but magic plus only has one few

holidaytoparis · 02/10/2018 11:53

@Neweternal that's my fear... it could be really expensive for very little activity

We love the lesser frequented parks in the U.K. like Drayton, gullivers, etc because you don't have to queue much

But to have the experience I'd quite like to do it once
