My goddaughter has her 3rd birthday soon & I’m looking for a fun gift to send. Can be big and OTT but around the £50-75 mark, £100’max. Girly child, likes princesses but happy to stay away from tat. I already bought her a charm bracelet & have done charms etc to date. We live at some distance from them.

Please help!

For that budget i would explore tickets to an activity or annual pass to the national trust or other attraction which is local to her. Or tickets to a toddler showing at the local theatre - ours did a series of julia donaldson plays recently which dd loved

Thanks LLL! It’s a bit tricky for them to get to things & there are many other children in the family. I can go over budget!

My DD is the same age and her godparents put some money in her savings account and then buy her a small gift as well. Totals about £100

Thanks, Glass, it’s a great idea and I wish someone did this for mine, but not really the thing for them. Am hoping for a token toy of some description. Have already done special tea set, garden swing, stuff like that, something along those lines would be good.

Haba do some wonderful wooden brick sets. Not just a bucket of bricks but you can get Russian style bricks and all sorts. Quite expensive but totally awesome, quality and can be played with for years.

So something like a brio railway? Or an outdoor play kitchen? Or what about some beautiful illustrated children’s books so she can enjoy being read them and then reading them as she gets older?

Would second a mud kitchen my dd loves hers

On the lines of beautiful books the Robert Sabuda pop up books are AMAZING - look them up on YouTube. We have the Wizard of Oz one and it is incredible - would have to be closely supervised reading for a 3 year old but definitely something to keep!

I don’t know if the parents would have the space but im getting my 3 year old a lovely hand made teepee for Christmas.

Just wanted to come back and say thank you for all the ideas on this thread! I went for the Sabuda books and some 'classic' CDs in the end, with tickets to see The Tiger Who Came To Tea. Went down a treat, so thank you!
