I don't know if there's already a thread on this but has anyone seen the video of the driver who refused to take a pregnant ladies shopping upstairs? Got my blood boiling

So she had a handfree to video herself carrying it up if my inference is right? Happy to be corrected!

EvePolastri · 30/09/2018 19:40

What were his reasons? I couldn't make it out?

Spam88 · 30/09/2018 19:41

Asda only deliver to the door, they're not insured to enter your property.

ButtermilkBiscuits · 30/09/2018 19:42

I use Tesco and always have to stop them from walking in my house! Maybe Asda has different policies. Confused

user1493413286 · 30/09/2018 19:55

That’s odd as ASDA always bring my shopping to my front door in my flats like this lady’s. It’s the main reason I do online delivery as with a baby I struggled to bring shopping up.

greyspottedgoose · 30/09/2018 19:58

Even if their policy isn't to bring it in, taking it up the stairs to her door still isn't technically going in so the insurance wouldn't be an issue?
He came across as lazy and unhelpful 🤷🏻‍♀️ doesn't look great for the company

AndTheyCallitPuppyLove · 30/09/2018 19:59

She doesn't want him to come inside her h

EvePolastri · 30/09/2018 20:20

She said other drivers take it all up with no issue....just this one wouldn't

He said 'he'd prefer not' then seemed to refer to the volume of stuff. Nothing there about insurance

tillytop · 30/09/2018 20:28

I'll remember never to use Asda then! I have sainsbury and Tesco. Both carried it up all the stairs.

PrincessConsuelaBananaHammok · 30/09/2018 20:33

I agree Grey

My OH works as a delivery driver but a different company and he takes stuff upstairs (unless they don't want him to, he'll ask first) I actually saw the video first shared on a work facebook group of his and the general comments were that they go up with shopping.

Actually I had a Tesco driver once tell me he'd done me a massive favour because they don't have to carry the shopping upstairs - I was in a second floor flat at the time. I didn't use home delivery again for fear of having to carry it all up while the driver watched and waited.

Invisimamma · 30/09/2018 20:45

I get a weekly delivery. Tesco always bring it through my house and into the dining room and help me unload.

Poor women, what a tricky situation, but I don't understand why she stood so long and debated with the driver whilst her toddler was clearly distressed. Soothe him settle him down with a snack and TV and go back for the rest.
