Need to get from Bristol airport to Musgrove Park Hospital...help

Flying down to say goodbye to my mother tomorrow with an autistic toddler & luggage. Any posters know the easiest way to get from Bristol airport to Musgrove Park Hospital?

Bugger, Megabus looked ideal but no availability until 7.30pm, sounds like bus-train-taxi is the next most viable option

Just on the off chance, can anyone recommend a taxi company I could call to get a price for the full journey?

The trouble with getting a megabus from Bristol is megabuses don't leave from the bus station, and I imagine you wouldn't want the extra hassle at that point. Honestly I'd do bus from airport to Temple Meads, train to Taunton, taxi.

I would advocate backpack for your luggage to give free hands for toddler wrangling- I've recently switched from handbag to that, much easier- mine is also on reins as holding hands is just too risky due to breaking off and running.

Bristol airport to temple meads is about 8 miles, airport to Weston is about double that

Weston is closer than Temple meads for a station. You are going to have to back track into the city to go to Temple Meads.

Otherwise I’d go with a taxi door to door in the circumstances.
a1acetaxis are the local Taunton taxi firm. Red car taxis. It’s not a long journey at all. Will take so much longer busing and train.

The advantage you have is the airport is the right side of Bristol. So you’ve already gone past the city and down. It’s a straightforward road and not that busy. A38.

£55 sounds like a good deal. Also the buses and trains, taxi option would probably come to that and be stressful.

There are B&B’s nearby/ walking distance of the hospital if you need to stay overnight.

Honestly I think you’ve chosen the best option. It will be the quickest way.

The hospital is central to the town, so easy if you need anything. There is a Tesco walking distance as well.

I was thinking similar @hawleybits - I go to Bristol regularly for hospital appointments currently and my journey to/from takes me via Taunton
