What's your Sunday looking like?

Off to take the dog for a walk in a min- I'm so tired but my boyfriend usually walks him everyday so I want to chip in and help out and stop being such a lazy shitGrin

Then a nice coffee & breakfast, boyfriends parents are coming to visit at 12 and we're going to the park to walk the dog (again- he's a 7 month old cocker spaniel, so lots of energy!).

Ideally I'd be spending the morning in bed until 1 & the dog wouldn't ever need walking so I could have some peace without him yapping and destroying the house + no grumpy boyfriend due to it!Wink

Ughhh give me strength! I'm too tired.😴

putting another coat of varnish on the internal doors.
taking mum to visit dad in his care home - always grim.
beef casserole in the slow cooker.

DD1 will get up this afternoon and sit silently ignoring me all day(mental health issues)
DD2 is at her boyfriend's parents
DS will need to be chauffered to his mates where he will spend the day

I might go for a walk.

Bunnybigears · 30/09/2018 09:27

SongforSal · 30/09/2018 09:29

After a night 'out-out' on Friday, yesterday was a bit of a right off. Up and about to do a weeks worth of ironing now. Tesco delivery at lunch time so going to make stuffed chicken en-croute with pesto, bacon, mozzarella in puff pastry with oven roasted veg and new potatoes. Promised to watch a horror film with DS13 this afternoon to that he's been banging on about-he can't watch them on his own, but loves the jump scares so I have to sit next to him on the sofa Smile. Also need to prep the hallway for painting, clean the bathroom and order some bits of Amazon. Need to call DD at uni, and check in freshers week is going well, so will be on the phone to her for a good hour I expect.

Got a beef joint in the slow cooker for a late dinner/early tea

DH has took DD swimming

I'm off to do the big shop at Aldi Then going to watch the F1.

Then this evening we are going to the last night of the firework championships

Bluesheep8 · 30/09/2018 09:55

Recovering from too much wine last night Blush so a really quiet day here. Currently snuggling on the sofa with the cat. Will make roast chicken for dinner later and plan to catch up on Masterchef this afternoon.

MaryBoBary · 30/09/2018 10:08

I’ve got the joint of pork in th fridge on a plate drying out ready for roasting. Will probably get dressed in the next hour, peel DS off the iPad and do some arts and crafts with him. Other than that we are just waiting for BIL to ring and tell us their first baby has been born! 7 days overdue now and they live abroad where you can only go 7 days per before they intervene. Very excited!!!

llangennith · 30/09/2018 10:28

A 7 month old puppy doesn't need that much exercise! You need to read up on puppies.

Giggorata · 30/09/2018 10:40

We're making cider today, followed by dog walking and then lamb shanks dinner from the slow cooker. Then wine and TV in front of the wood burner, with sleepy dogs.

Largepiecesofcrookedwood · 30/09/2018 10:41

I'm going to work Hmm
Been doing a lot of overtime so just seem to be working, sleeping and then working again. DS is away on an expedition and will be back late this afternoon, DH is mooching about rather than doing anything actually useful DCat is snoring in a patch of sunshine and the DDogs are looking hopefully out the window waiting for a walk Smile

niceupthedance · 30/09/2018 10:49

Discovered new dog walks near the place we are moving to then stopped for pain au chocolat at naice bakery
Doing homework then a kids party this afternoon
Sausages for dinner

glenthebattleostrich · 30/09/2018 11:17

Clean the kitchen, make a roast, walk the puppy (only 13 weeks old so a whole 15 minutes to the top of the road!!). Bake some blondies, prep lamb koftas and mini burgers for tea next week, pop to the shops, do music and reading practice and a few emails and a grant application to complete! Oh and clean out the guinea pigs and take them for a little potter in the garden. And squeeze in calls to both sets of parents. And my sister. And do some Christmas wrapping.

We've already done one short walk, made slime, made a nice breakfast, cleared the garden and done 2 loads of washing! Oh and spoken to a couple of places about swim lessons for the 8 year old and done some crochet.

We don't get Sundays at home very often so

MyPatronusIsABadger · 30/09/2018 11:23

Will potter about and tidy whilst listening to new audiobook and then make a start on a chicken, gammon and leek pie (never made it before but DH always did and it was delicious).

Will need to walk dog but it’s nice and cool so we should get quite far and hopefully along a path I like to look for conkers.

Im going to church tonight as the morning service is the fun children’s one but having no children makes me quite sad at the moment so I’ll head out to the adults one tonight.

I’m currently still in bed with my cup of tea so I better get on and do something soon!

Namechange170518 · 30/09/2018 11:28

Woke up at 5. 30 when husband went to the loo and couldn't get back to sleep so got up and tidied the kitchen and started cleaning the oven. Came into town to pick up a click and collect order and 'unfortunately' missed the next bus home so sat in costa with a bonfire spice latte. Husband and daughter will be back from her swimming lesson when I get back. Food shopping this afternoon, then Carvery for dinner :)

BitchQueen90 · 30/09/2018 11:29

Sundays are our proper "day of rest" as we're always so busy on Saturdays. Just me and DS living in our house.

We're still in our PJs. DS is watching TV and I'm just sorting out a bit of washing. Then I'll do the prep for the roast dinner and we'll go out for a bit of a walk. After dinner we'll watch a film together and relax.

mamaduckbone · 30/09/2018 11:31

Lovely lazy morning drinking coffee and reading the papers for the first time in ages. Quite excited about picking ds2 up from cub camp at 1 - I’ve missed him!

SausageSimon · 30/09/2018 11:32

I can't believe how busy you all are! I feel so lazy Blush Sunday's are our do as little as possible day. I stick the washing on, we laze about, walk the dog and that's about it!!

DS is in reception and gets tired after 5 days at school, then I tend to be working Saturday's lately so it's our only day to enjoy being at home together!

SausageSimon · 30/09/2018 11:34

@BitchQueen90 exactly the same here, just me and DS and I could've written your post Smile we're still in our pyjamas watching rubbish!
How old is your DS? Mine is 5

BeachCrow · 30/09/2018 11:37

We're having a lazy day but been out to walk the dog and meet some people for a Pokemon raid. Dog was praised for being so well behaved which would have astonished me back when he was 7 months, they do get a lot easier. (Also agree with PP, make sure you're not over exercising your puppy.)
Need to clean out the rabbits and do ironing this afternoon. DD is relaxing after doing exams all morning yesterday (hoping to go to same secondary school as her brother) but will do some music practice later. DS will have to be prized off his Nintendo Switch and will talk at us at length about android lucky eggs probably. DH is at work.

holycityzoo · 30/09/2018 11:40

We've all been to mass, dp has taken the three youngest children to see his dad and brother then to a big park. He's will feed them there.
Eldest dd is trying to write a sonnet for English homework, I'm about to put a leg of lamb in to slow roast for dinner.
I also need to have a quick tidy round before I plonk I'm bum on the sofa for the afternoon!
Oh also need to finish off homework with the smaller kids.

Jaxtellerswife · 30/09/2018 11:50

Going for a scan to find out the sex of my third and final babyGrin

ShatnersWig · 30/09/2018 11:53

Same as usual. Go for a swim in the morning, come home, watch shit TV, make lunch, go for a walk, come home, watch more shit TV, snack for tea, more shit TV, bath then bed.

Pretty much how it's been for years. Most Sundays never see or speak to anyone. Loads of friends but they are all couples and/or with kids so all do family stuff. Single person with no family, so it's always pretty shit quite honestly.

CoffeebyIV · 30/09/2018 11:58

Have done the ironing and prepped lunches for the week. Spicy butternut squash couscous salad for me Smile Have done the ironing and now writing our wedding thank you cards however I think the fuse has blown on the washing machine which is never good. DH is out with his mate when he comes back I need to go and see my Dad and sister then have got a garlic & herb spatchcock chicken from aldi for dinner. Might pick up some wine or prosecco to go with it.
