Anyone recommend a good brand of period pants?
I have decided they are the way forward for me and my daughter.
I am concerned about the environment - so much waste from towels and tampons - and I didn't get on with a menstrual cup. Also I was shocked to find average women spends many many thousands of pounds on sanitary protection.
I have 2 daughters one of whom started her periods about a year ago and the other who I think will start in the next year. I think I will save loads if I buy them period pants. Plus my daughter always leaks blood on her sheets at night during the first few days of her period. Looking at the adverts period pants don't leak.
Questions are:
Are they as good as the adverts say?
Which brand to buy (Modibod or other)?
What do you do with them once used - I see you can't use fabric conditioner. Do people wash them on their own?
Does one pair last for a whole school day or do they need changing? - not sure if it's practical to change pants in the school loos, especially if she is wearing tights.
How often do you change them?
How many pairs do you need?
Thanks for any advice/anecdotes.
