Jobs that pay well

I have been a sahm for the past 8 years since having my eldest, with a few jobs in between, I have always worked in shops, but I am now at a time where I want to do something else.
My youngest is 18 months, we have no childcare & there is very little childcare where we live & what there is has no room, so I feel pretty stuck, but I am dying to get a job, I don't want to go back into shop work, I want to retrain & do a job that pays well!

So people of Mumsnet, what we'll paying jobs do you do/know of? I'd consider most things!

Please ignore autocorrect fails & lack of paragraphs, my phone likes to make me look like an idiot!

That depends, what kind of money do you consider to be well paid?

Bookkeeping. Within reason, you could work from home and would be able to fit this around school/naps/evenings/etc. An AAT course might be a good place to start

I work part time in sales and earn very well from it. Sales is always well paid if you're good at it. It can also be quite a flexible field to be in, which fits in well with children.

The other good thing about sales is that no expensive training or qualifications are necessary.

I consider anything over minimum wage to be well paid, it's all I've ever earned!
Thank you ladies, will definitely look into book keeping & sales, what type of sales though? (Sorry if I am being thick now!)

I work in telesales, that's usually the best type of sales to be in for family-friendly hours

What level of qualifications do you have? It would be hard to get much over nmw without them.

My friend took up childminding- not for everyone, I know but she loves it and earns way more than she did doing a stressful admin job.
