I am going to a posh ceilidh,(dance) shoes will be coming off and have peep toes shoes.

Do I a) wear normal tights
B) wear tights with no toes
C) wear no tights

Take a pair of flat shoes to change into and protect your toes from being stomped upon?

Blackladybug · 28/09/2018 17:00

I would go with B if you have some Smile

fishfingersandketchup · 28/09/2018 17:01

Not A. B or C depending on how hot you'll get and how confident you are with bare legs!

I don’t have flats that go with this dress, or b was my choice

It’s the dancing with no shoes and toe less tights that worries me

Are you confident with bare legs? Peep toes with tights is a pretty horrific thought.

averageisgood · 28/09/2018 17:09

I would go no tights. Won't you slip around with tights on? I would, especially if alcohol

averageisgood · 28/09/2018 17:10

Do you have a longish coat and scarf to wear to keep you warm until you get there?

eltsihT · 28/09/2018 17:12

No tights it is, I have some scars and bruises on my legs I normally cover with a bit of foundation and tights.

But as I will be sitting at a table or dancing no sone should notice right?

ballet slippers aren't an option?

eltsihT · 28/09/2018 17:15

They would if I had any... I keep meaning to get some.

If you have time to scoot to a chemist then Sally Hensen Airbrushed legs is brilliant at covering up marks on your legs AND it goes on brilliantly!

Um, not being funny, but a posh ceilidh?? Disclaimer: I grew up in the north east (so we learned a bit of Scottish country dancing at school), have Irish and Scottish cousins, so have been to a few family "dos" and I lived in Belfast for two years.

Are you sure it's posh AND a ceilidh?? Is it a wedding or something? The dancing can get a bit wild if it's really a ceilidh, I wouldn't advise doing it with no shoes, peephole shoes, OR in tights - flat shoes to change into, as a previous poster suggested, is the most sensible option. Have a good time though!
