Only to find they let you down?

Now I know fms based on books never really live up to it but some just change things so much, you may as well have created a brand new film.

Mine is Miss Peregrines home for peculiar children

World War Z. An absolute screw up from start to finish. They threw away the book, then they threw away the zombies, then they put Brad Pitt into it to get people to waste their money.

Tilda Swinton and James McAvoy partly saved TLTWATW, but the source material remains the same cobblers that I grew out of at 10.

The Hobbit was okay until Tauriel showed up, then it got better, then they cast Billy Connolly as Dain. Far too long.

Came on to say Memoirs of a Geisha, Captain Corelli, We Need to talk about Kevin, The Beach, Kite Runner... all already mentioned.
