Tell me the perks of getting married

Are there any?

Are there any financial perks of being married?
I'm not talking about taking each other to the cleaners if you split, I mean whilst married, is there any government help like there used to be? As in the married women's reduced rate ni contributions, which I believe has been looong abolished.

You go to the registry office with your partner and ID and book a date. (This is the legal bit of giving notice. ) You can then discuss what type of wedding you want. The options are different prices for bigger rooms for more guests and also depends on the day of the week. Saturday being the most expensive. Or Sunday (but that's more pricey as the registry office isn't open and you have to have them come to a certified venue. (£1500 ish normally with the venue hire but can be ££££££ if you want somewhere very fancy)

obviously you can marry really cheaply if it just marriage certificate you want but you can have a little celebration on a cheap budget too

nice outfit for your child about £15 in monsoon sale etc nice dress for you, try ebay there are I believe the odd charity shop specialising in wedding type dresses, buy supermarket flowers cut short and tie with a ribbon about £5-10 max, my sisters were all adults so went with colour scheme for outfits cream chocolate brown with bits of gold or pale pink they chose their own something they would wear again it looked lovely as i could not have chosen a dress that would suit all their figures hair colours etc

get guests/guests to take photos choose the best print out the best, you can do photo books online for less than £15 my sister took ours with my camera go to a park for photos it is free

do your own hair makeup etc you do it every day anyway

just invite a handful and go out for lunch after not dinner many good restaurants to 2 courses for £10-12 at lunch time don't tell them it's a wedding
or make your own cake and invite people back for nice cheese & biscuits, a drink and a slice of cake
