Following recent surgery my consultant has recommended that I start taking a multi vitamin/mineral supplement and that my iron is a bit low. So I'm looking online at supplements and there are...millions. Years ago a bought a multi vit supplement and the pills were so big I couldnt swallow them. Also I have no idea if there are good quality ones and bad quality ones.
Any recommendations?

I just take the kids chewy sweetie ones! I figure a kids dose of vitamins is better than forgetting to take them completely (which I would if I only bought them for myself).

If you have low iron I'd concentrate on taking a good iron tablet - a multi vit probably wouldn't be high enough dosage to fix a deficiency. Ask your GP how low out actually is and for recommendation for tablets. A multivitamin on top wouldn't hurt but might just mean you're buying loads of vitamins you don't actually need?

Agree with Lellochip that you're probably better with a specific supplement rather than a generic multivitamin which have relatively low doses
What about a liquid iron?

for iron I took a liquid capsule thing and for other targetted vits and minerals I bought from Vitamins Direct, i think it was called. Did a lot of research first and it all worked for me.

I swear by Spatone for iron - mix into fruit juice and it’s very gentle on the stomach.
