I never weight measure - I just use equal quantities of milk, flour, eggs, pinch of salt and they always turn out great. I use a small child’s cup to measure and get 8 Yorkshire’s from that (3 eggs).

Squeakyheart · 23/09/2018 12:49

My mum uses the same method as above and they are amazing!

redshoeblueshoe · 23/09/2018 12:49

Just use a mug. So one mug of flour, one mug of eggs, one mug of milk. Perfect every time

I never use scales for yorkshire puds, just measure the eggs first in a cup then put in the bowl, then fill the cup to the same height with flour then the same again with milk. I use a small childs mug just because that makes the right amount for us.

Use a cup or a mug - 1 cup beaten egg, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk. If you want to recreate the recipe exactly you can look on the Internet to convert grams to cups.

flowerpot1000000 · 23/09/2018 12:52

Ive only got this cup...quite small

Make one batch up with that cup and if it's not enough make another??

underneaththeash · 23/09/2018 12:54

I just use 4 desert spoons of flour, 2 small eggs, salt and then add milk until it seems the right consistency.

viques · 23/09/2018 12:55

If the cup is small then do two cups of everything.measure the flour first, then the eggs then the milk to swish out all the egg.

If you find you have too much batter then keep it in the fridge and do pancakes for breakfast.

myrtleWilson · 23/09/2018 12:55

do you not have a measuring jug - I use that recipe but just do it in a measuring jug

flowerpot1000000 · 23/09/2018 12:56

Ok will give it a go may do 2 cups of flour and milk and 4 eggs

OP posts:
RoseDog · 23/09/2018 12:56

How many eggs do you usually use? fill any jug/bowl/mug with that amount of egg then refill with milk and flour to the same level.

flowerpot1000000 · 23/09/2018 12:56

No jug

WutheringFrights · 23/09/2018 12:58

Get a measuring jug and crack the number of eggs you normally use.
Then an equal amount of milk and an equal amount of flour and pinch of salt and blitz it. Just before you put it in the hot fat add a dash of ice cold water.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 23/09/2018 12:58

Do you not have a measuring jug for the dry ingredients? Mine has weights for flour etc on it.

Cupoteap · 23/09/2018 12:58

I use a ramekin

WutheringFrights · 23/09/2018 12:58

Ah.... no jug! Dont do that then 😂

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 23/09/2018 12:58

I only ever use 2 eggs for mine.
