Late period or???

After a years sex desert, I slept with a new partner on Sunday 16th September.

Previous period started on 28/8/18 and I have an average 28 day cycle so would not have been fertile on 16th.

I wasn’t expecting my period until next week but have been bleeding lightly with some small clots since Wednesday.

Is it possible to have an early period due to stress/upheaval? Or is it possible that having sex after such a break has caused a ‘clear out’ ?

Off to GP on Tuesday anyway so will mention it, but wondered if anyone has any thoughts!

It could be anything, just do a test to put yourself at ease.

I've got a 28-day cycle and usually ovulate on day 18 so would definitely be fertile on day 16. Are you testing when you ovulate at all?

Ah sorry if not clear but I meant the date- the 16th, rather than day 16..... I should have been ovulating between 7th and 12th

Seems that it would be too early to test?

Could be implantation bleeding.
How many days till AF is due?

And when you say when you should have been ovulating, is that because you monitor it or because that's the 14 days after lmp date?

Ahh that’s a concern... A/F due next Wednesday-ish.
