Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, new poster and not sure where to post.
Can an 11 month old have scrambled eggs?

Yes

SoyDora · 23/09/2018 09:18

Yes. Mine had scrambled eggs from weaning at 6 months.

NannyR · 23/09/2018 09:19

Yes, I give them from 6 months, but cook them without salt.

Thankyou, you hear so many mixed views on weaning I thought they had to be one xx

I’ve never heard that they have to be one for eggs. The only things I didn’t give from 6 months were honey and whole nuts.

NannyR · 23/09/2018 09:27

As far as I am aware, the only things they shouldn't have are, too much salt, honey and things that might be a choking hazard like whole nuts, whole grapes, whole blueberries (chopped up grapes and blueberries are fine).

MorningsEleven · 23/09/2018 10:05

Yup, should be fine. I might have a little egg for breakfast, you've tempted me!

SlimmingMumOf1 · 23/09/2018 11:02

Yes of course. My son was mostly weaned eating scrambled eggs!

DramaAlpaca · 23/09/2018 11:08

Should be absolutely fine, but please approach with caution. I gave my 10 month old scrambled eggs & that's when I discovered he had an egg sensitivity. He came up in hives almost immediately & we had to make a mad dash to the GP. Thankfully he was fine. I don't want to scare you but it's worth knowing there is a slight risk.

@Polkadot1502 add a bit of tomato ketchup into it. My little one loves some tomato ketchup with his xx

Omelette is a good option too, so long as it's well cooked. Easier to cut in to pieces for them to hold.

Verbena87 · 23/09/2018 14:48

As stated, keep salt and sugar to a minimum, avoid honey til 1, and chop up choking hazards, but otherwise babies from 6months can try whatever they fancy. We just stopped adding salt when cooking and that meant baby could try what we were having.
