Farting

What's polite? DP farts all day, sometimes noisy sometimes foul, often both. He just lets rip.

If I fart I say, sorry or excuse me.

I think it's like burping, so pardon me, excuse me is polite?

In public, what's the form? Ignore, move away, pretend it was the drains?

I think it's pretty gross of him to be honest. It certainly wouldn't make me want to spend time with him.

I know a lot of people on here don't care (from previous threads on it) but I wouldn't deliberately do it in front of a partner and if i did I'd apologise.

It's just gross.

What's polite?

To find somewhere private to do it where no one can hear or smell you!

We both do it and just say pardon. We draw the line at pointing it and someone (explained that to dd recently!) or really pushing burps out (unless excellent comedy timing or had a drink) Dp really doesn't like my huge burps so I stopped.

We never do it in public though, just at home and I do think what your partner thinks matters. Dp went through a phase of tiny burps all the time with no pardon and I did ask him to stop or at least acknowledge them

Anti social and embarrasing ,the apologising/acknowledging wouldn't make it less so in my book .

I think I'd be trying to get him to sort out his diet and digestive system .
Large amounts of meat /sugar /constipation ...
