Using a feeding room for the first time

And I’m not sure how I feel about it.

On one hand I don’t like being shut away, and believe a baby should be fed anywhere but as the manager explained the stupid booth seats mean it’s impossible to breast feed a baby at them.

So at least they’ve considered this and provided an alternative. There’s a sink, radiator and comfy chairs (ikea style arm chair) and it’s separate to the loos and baby change.

But I still feel hidden Sad

It is really difficult to feed a baby at a booth with a fixed bench and table, but I would feel shut away too. I take it there's no alternative seating in the restaurant?

Of course you are. Name and shame. If baby is little you can manage to bf at a bench. Have they no chairs at all?

Marmite27 · 21/09/2018 18:24

No, no chairs that would work as the booth is on a raised platform.

Ah well, I’ve already pissed off one family member who has flounced off - why did I decide having family join us for the last few days of our holiday was a good idea?

On the bright side, the nosiest baby in the world is having a decent feed for a change!

And as I’ve just found out, the light is on a sensor! Luckily it came back on when I waved Grin

I like them mainly because my baby gets distracted and pops off every 0.5 seconds at every movement or noise, so it's nice to get away from that!

Why has your family member flubbed off?

My phone autocorrected that from 'flounced' but I prefer it!

If the baby is small and you turn sideways in your seat, it's possible to feed in a booth. Or tuck one of your legs under you to boost you up a bit so everything is above table height and feed that way.
